Lorrie Jollimore

Consultant Bio: Lorrie Jollimore has been a certified Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement practitioner since 2015. Lorrie’s desire to become a practitioner, trained by Anat herself to use this cutting edge neuroscience based approach, was a very personal one, as in 2011 at 11 months, her daughter was diagnosed with Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy, which affected her entire left side. Her daughter is now running, jumping and continuously improving her motor skills. Lorrie’s inspiration to want to help other children with brain injury at birth as well as adults who have survived a brain injury stems from the abilities of both her daughter and her clients to learn and grow in the face of real challenges. Her clients have achieved great success with this approach increasing functional abilities after Concussion, Stroke, Chronic Pain, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism and so on.

Lorrie has achieved all 4 levels of NeuroMovement certification to work with adults, children, seniors and high performers. She has over 5000+ hours of clinical practice at her well established and growing rehabilitation centre, Movement and Vitality in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Prior to taking NeuroMovement training Lorrie attained both Shodan (first degree black belt) and Nidan (second degree) with the Japan Karate Association registered in Tokyo. This has greatly enhanced Lorrie’s understanding of body dynamics to help others learn to move in functional ways to enhance balance, flexibility and strength. Lorrie looks forward to integrating sound therapy into her practice to enhance learning and increase vitality.
